A resort set on a private island, conceived as a quiet extension of the landscape where architecture, vegetation, and shoreline merge seamlessly.

Set against the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, Resort Belize is a remote tropical sanctuary shaped by landscape, culture, and climate. The project draws inspiration from Mayan heritage and coastal vernacular architecture, reinterpreted through a language of tropical minimal luxury. Low horizontal volumes, shaded terraces, and open-air pavilions frame views toward the sea while allowing natural ventilation to define the living experience.

Local materials ground the architecture in place, from warm regional hardwoods to handcrafted stone and lime-based finishes that age beautifully in the humid Caribbean air. The design prioritizes passive cooling, deep overhangs, and shaded courtyards, creating comfort through climate intelligence rather than mechanical excess.

In its remoteness lies its strength. Resort Belize is conceived as a quiet retreat where architecture does not compete with the landscape but elevates it, offering an experience that is both culturally rooted and timelessly refined.
